Police Blotter: Manchester Knifepoint Robbery, Hartford Concrete Attack Arrest

MANCHESTER — Police are seeking a man who robbed a gas station clerk at knifepoint around 10 p.m. last night. It happened at the BP Station at 176 Tolland Turnpike. The robber also implied he had a gun, before stealing cash and the clerk’s vehicle — a 2006, green Volkswagen Passat. The plate number is 840 YJA. Anyone with information contact police.

HARTFORD — City police arrested Jeffrey Acosta, 22, Wednesday for attacking a woman with concrete Jan. 10, charging him with first-degree assault. The woman who was attacked at 69 James St. did survive, though she was critical following the attack. It’s believed to be a drug-related incident.
