YATES COUNTY, N.Y. (CBS Connecticut) - A mother and son are both in jail after she tried to sneak pills to him after he was arrested – by way of an open-mouth kiss.
The Smoking Gun is reporting that the trouble began when 54-year-old Kimberly Margeson visited her son, 30-year-old William Partridge, in prison on Jan. 29 after he was arrested on a weapons charge.
While at the Yates County Jail, Margeson attempted to feed her son several Oxycodone pills by kissing him while the drugs were in her mouth.
“[An i]nvestigation revealed that … [Margeson] put the Oxycodone pills (a narcotic) into her mouth and brought them into the jail when she visited her son…” a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun stated. “Margeson then passed the Oxycodone from her mouth to her son’s mouth when she kissed him.”
Officers with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office subsequently arrested Margeson, and charged her with criminal sale of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband. The criminal sale charge is a class B felony, according to the official report.
She was held in jail in lieu of $2,000/$4,000 bail.
Meanwhile, her son received an additional charge of promoting prison contraband in the second degree.
