Newington police say a Middletown woman faces charges after she allegedly pulled out a semi-automatic handgun during an argument with another woman at the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike about 8:00 Monday evening.
Police say Tawana Bourne was at the restaurant with her child when she got involved in an argument with another woman, also with a child. They say the verbal argument escalated and Bourne allegedly pulled out the .380 caliber handgun and chambered a round.
Restaurant staff called police, who separated the two women and seized Bourne’s firearm and her pistol permit.
She’s charged with breach of peace, risk of injury to a minor, threatening and reckless endangerment.
