Closing Of NJ Refinery Expected To Affect Connecticut Gasoline Prices

During the month of January,  the average price of a gallon of self-service regular in Connecticut increased three percent,  to  $3.79  a gallon,  according to the AAA’s Fuel Gauge survey.

AAA says they’re expecting prices to continue to go up in this part of the country,  because of the closing of an oil refinery in New Jersey

AAA says the Hess refinery in Port Reading, New Jersey,  accounts for about 7.5%  of Northeast gasoline production.
