Connecticut Water says a tanker with potable water is being delivered to Suffield, to help customers after problems following a water main break.
Water pressure has been restored, but because of the risk that bacteria might have gotten into the system when the pressure was low, the company issued a boil-water advisory and took samples for testing.
A tanker with safe water has been parked at the Nicholson and Carmon Funeral Home on East Street; residents are advised to take clean containers to collect drinking water. Tap water is safe for all purposes other than consumption.
