NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ A former teacher at East Hampton Middle School is facing sentencing for possession of child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say 31-year-old Richard Hendricks of Ashford bought Internet access to live sex shows involving children that originated in the Philippines.

Hendricks is to be sentenced Monday in federal court in New Haven.

The former computer teacher has been detained since his arrest in June. He pleaded guilty earlier this month to one count of receipt of child pornography and prosecutors said he faced a minimum of five years in prison.

Prosecutors said Hendricks used his computer to receive more than 600 images and 50 movie files of child pornography, including images of children younger than 12 years old and images portraying sadistic, masochistic or violent conduct.
