Nassau’s Closing Avon Store After 35 Years

Nassau’s Furniture says it is closing its Avon store after 35 years in business at the corner of Route 44 and Route 10.  President David Goldberg says the building has been sold, and the family-owned company dating back to 1938 plans to focus on its “Nassau’s Weekend Warehouse”  opened about a year ago in South Windsor,

A complete liquidation is planned of all merchandise from the Avon store.  Goldberg said there will be no interruption in customer service, and said all existing orders will be delivered,  with the South Windsor store providing service to customers.

Details of the sale have not been announced.
