Hartford Murder Suspect Arrested In Massachusetts

LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) _ A suspect in a slaying in Connecticut has been captured in Massachusetts.

Authorities say 26-year-old Doel Francisco Candelario was arrested by U.S. marshals and local police at a Lawrence apartment on Thursday morning and charged on a fugitive warrant for murder.

Police say Candelario, of Hartford, Conn., was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting last June of Jimmy Narvaez-Gonzalez of New Britain, Conn.

Police tells The Eagle-Tribune  that a .22 caliber firearm used in the murder has still not been recovered.

When Candelario was at large, Hartford police issued a warning about him saying he may be under the influence of the drug PCP.
