State police are investigating a holdup just before 10 a.m. Thursday at the Chelsea-Groton Bank at Salem Four Corners.

Police say a suspect about five-foot-three and 50 to 60 years old entered the bank on foot,   implied he had a weapon and demanded money.  He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.   Police searched on the ground, with dogs, and from the air.

The suspect,  who has a mustache, was wearing blue jeans,  a blue denim jacket with brown collar, white sneakers, a tan baseball cap, gray gloves.

Police released security camera photos of the suspect,  and asked anyone who may have information to call them at (860) 537-7500.
