A 33-year-old Middletown man was pronounced dead at the hospital after crashing his car off of Route 9 Friday night.

David Latina was driving his 2009 Toyota Corolla southbound on Route 9 just north of exit six shortly before 10 last night when his Toyota Corolla went off the roadway and struck a rock ledge.  He was flown by Lifestar helicopter to Yale New Haven Hospital.

Police ask anyone with any information about the crash to call troop F  in Westbrook.
