The State Labor Department says unemployment in Connecticut dropped two-tenths of a percent last month.  It brings the state’s unemployment rate to 8.8 percent,  compared to the national rate of The 7.7 percent, also down two-tenths of a percentage point over the month.

The state added 300 jobs in November,  led by an addition of 1,100 jobs in professional and business services

The department says it’s possible lingering effects from Hurricane Sandy kept the jobs figures down.

Statewide,  a total of nineteen hundred jobs have been added during the first eleven months of 2012 –  well behind the 8,800 jobs added January through November, 2011.
