Reward In Murder Of 71-Year-Old Man

A $25,000  reward is being offered in a seven-month-old New Britain murder case.

Police say 71-year-old James Joseph, Sr.,  was severely beaten in his South Main Street home last May 14th —  and died of his injuries four days later.  Police say as they continue to pursue forensic evidence in the case,  they hope the reward may persuade someone with information in the case  to come forward.

Police say Joseph had visited a local service station/convenience store early that morning,  and was later found, seriously injured at his home.

The governor’s office this week authorized the reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of those responsible for James Joseph’s death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Adam Rembisz at (860) 826-3134 or Captain Thomas Steck at (860) 826-3120.
