HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A 2-year-old boy has been found safe after a car he was in was stolen in Hartford.
The boy was found in Bristol after a woman heard about an Amber Alert and contacted police.
Police said one suspect has been detained and they were searching for another person.
Authorities said the incident began when a man left the child inside the car with the keys while he went into a store around 4 p.m. Thursday. The Amber Alert was issued less than an hour later.
The car was found in Hartford before 6 p.m., but the child, identified as Luis Trinidad Jr., was still missing.
The boy’s family said he had been found safe in Bristol and was taken to the police department.
