Donation Replaces Missing Nativity Scene Jesus Figure

Torrington’s Parks and Recreation Department says when the story about the missing infant Jesus statue at Torrington’s Christmas Village broke this week,  a number of local residents came forward with donations of cash, or offers of replacement figures.   Parks officials chose one which they felt best fit in with the existing Nativity Scene.

The figure was donated by Fay Renzullo,  in memory of Trudy Reges.  Cash donations for the replacement Jesus will be used for other Christmas Village purposes.

The Parks and Recreation Department offered its thanks to the generosity of all the donors.    The Christmas Village opens December 9.
