Several hundred students, parents, and teachers gathered earlier tonight, to honor a 14-year-old boy who died in a Manchester High School swim class.
A vigil for Malvrick Donkor was held outdoors in a grassy area near one of the entrances to the high school.
The gathering was lit by floodlights, and by candles students held above their heads.
During the ceremony, a young man told the crowd that Malvrick was always there for him, and always put a smile on his face.
A young woman cried as she read a poem, promising to keep Malvrick in her memory.
Students then went inside the high school, to share memories of their lost classmate.
