Two Suspects Identified In New London “Cold Case” Murder

New London Police say they’ve charged one suspect and will charge a second on Tuesday in the 2006 murder of a man found on a Bank Street sidewalk.  Police say Todd Thomas died of multiple gunshot wounds in the shooting Dec. 22, 2006, in front of Ernie’s Cafe.

Police say New London Detective Richard Curcuro was assigned to the Eastrn Connecticut Cold Case Task Force last month to pursue the shooting,  and after he presented evidence and testimony in the investigation, a judge issued arrest warrants late last week.

The warrants name Darius Armadore and Gerjuan Tyus,  both 32,  and both currently held at Connecticut prisons,  in the murder,  Armadore was arraigned on charges of murder and murder conspiracy and ordered held on a million dollars bond Monday,  and Tuys is due to bappear in court Tuesday.

New London police say the arrests mark the first for New London Police working in conjunction with the Cold Case Task force of the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office.
