A week between Games 1 and 2 – As the Huskies wait between the College of Charleston and Texas A&M, there is still plenty to work on. The coaches will look into that for sure, even after scoring 103pts that’s why they’re who they are. I continue to be impressed with the chemistry, the energy and the versatility of this group. With all of the options  they now have, I don’t foresee many scoring droughts with this team…

Breanna Stewart equaled Maya Moore’s debut from a scoring aspect with 21 points. And she had plenty of help with 5 other double figure scorers. Morgan Tuck continues to impress in every facet of her game..While Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis has not only shot the ball well, but gets better and better defensively as well as making hustle plays. Stefanie Dolson’s 8 assists are no joke. With the way the Huskies finished around the basket. That number will be consistently high..Not 8a high, but who’s counting ? Plus the “veteran” duo of Faris & Doty just go about their business and do what’s asked in  a given game. All this and no Bria Hartley.. Just how much the dynamic changes when she comes back ?? Maybe we’ll get that chance next weekend in St Thomas. If she plays, UConn will ease her back. There is some ligament issues in that ankle that could be a area of caution. That’s why UConn wants her completely healthy before she returns.

The road opener is Sunday at College Station..The Aggies are young and will be home. Can they deal with the offensive onslaught that could come from UConn ? They gave up 47 at Louisville last Friday, and lost. Penn State is there tonight. It’s not like Gary Blair backs down from anyone. If the Huskies start out fast, they may run away and hide..But that’s to be seen as they play the first of four away from home. After Texas, it’s off to the USVI for the Paradise Jam.

stay with us all season long as we look inside the Huskies drive to Final Four #14 and NC #8…

Have a great week !
