Company Creates Edible Deodorant Candy

NEW YORK (CBS Connecticut) – Open wide – one company is letting people eat their deodorant.

Deo Perfume Candy has come out with a rose-flavored candy that is also masked as a deodorant.

“Studies showed that when ingested, rose oil exudes aromatic compounds, such as geraniol, through the skin. When evaporating through the skin, geraniol aromatizes it with a beautiful rose fragrance,” the company’s website states.

The edible deodorant usually lasts about six hours.

The Guardian reports the perfume company is currently working with a distributor to put the product on shelves in time for Valentine’s Day.

The product originally went on sale back in August. The company reports that the product has currently sold out on Amazon.
