Two South Windsor High Faculty Members Injured In Accident

South Windsor police say two faculty members at South Windsor High School were struck by a car near the driveway of the school this morning.

Sergeant Scott Custer says the mishap occurred just before 8 a.m.  The two victims, identified as Brendan McClay and Jim Warnock, were transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment.  Custer says one of the victims sustained a “significant” head injury.

The driver has been identified as 19-year-old Keith Huppe of South Windsor.  Investigators are looking at several contributing factors to the accident, including possible sun glare, speed, and the location of the pedestrians in the driveway.
