East Hartford Police have arrested the son of one of three victims found dead in an East Hartford home nearly two years ago. Police say 48-year-old Brett Bednarz of Manchester faces charges of capital felony murder, three counts of murder, burglary, home invasion, and violation of a protectiv e order.
Police served the warrant this morning, and Bednarz was held in lieu of $3 million bond.
The bodies of his mother, 74-year-old Beverly Therrien, and her tenants 53-year-old Michael Ramsey and 60-year-old Pamela Johns, were found in her home on Naomi Drive in East Hartford on Thanksgiving Day, 2010. They had been beaten to death.
Bednarz, who had been described as a “person of interest” in the killings, had been ordered to have no contact with his mother a month before the killings.
