More Patient Sex Assault Charges For Doctor
A Glastonbury doctor already charged with sexually assaulting patients was arrested again today, on charges of molesting more women.
Tory Westbrook entered not guilty pleas in superior court in Middletown.
In one of the newly-filed cases, a woman said Westbrook performed a breast exam on her, even though she came to him for a sinus infection. The woman told police he later touched her, and offered to show her where her G-spot was. She said she was afraid the doctor would cut off her access to a methadone program.
One woman says the doctor exposed himself while he was removing hair from her bikini area, and that he later performed oral sex on her during a hair removal session.
The new accusations involve patients at the Community Health Center in Clinton, and at the Alluring Beauty Spa in Manchester. One woman said she was molested after she got a Groupon coupon for laser hair removal.
Defense attorney Norm Pattis says the accusations become more lurid with every batch.
“By the time it is done, Dr. Westbrook will probably be deemed to be the father of Rosemary’s baby,” Pattis said. “It is hard to separate fact from fiction at this point.”
The charges involve a total of 19 women, but Pattis says one of those cases does not involve sexual assault. Multiple charges have been filed in some of the cases, meaning the doctor faces dozens of charges.
None of the women were named in court documents.
Westbrook was also charged today with submitting false claims to the Medicaid program. Details of that case remain sealed from public view, because the investigation is continuing.
Westbrook is due back in court November 13.
