Robertson Airport Closes For Runway Paving

Robertson Airport in Plainville is closed  for construction.

A large, flashing. lighted “X”  marks the spot at the end of the runway,  to keep air traffic from approaching.  The runway is being paved,  with the work expected to take about two months.

The airport says aircraft owners who tie-down at Robertson relocated their planes to other airports.  Offices are open,  but there are no takeoffs and landings on the 3,665 foot runway.

The airport on Johnson Avenue is owned by the town of  Plainville.
