Derby Man Shot In Home Invasion

DERBY, Conn. (AP) _ Police in Derby continue to look for suspects in the shooting of a man during a home invasion in an apartment above an Italian restaurant.

Authorities say the 52-year-old man was shot several times shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday in a building on Elizabeth Street that houses Altimari’s Little Italy restaurant. He’s reported to be in stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Police haven’t disclosed the man’s name.

Officers say several people went into the apartment and shot the man. The motive isn’t clear.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Derby police.
