One Dead in Bristol Stabbing

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) _ A Bristol man is being held on $1 million bail on charges he stabbed his roommate to death.
Police say they arrested 38-year-old Michel Torres on a murder charge Saturday night at a multifamily home on Wolcott Street. Authorities say Torres barricaded himself in the home’s attic after the stabbing, but later surrendered after police sent a tactical unit into the home.

Officers found the victim, 35-year-old Steven Cassidy, moaning and begging for help. Police say he was stabbed multiple times and later died at Bristol Hospital.

Torres is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court on Monday. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
What sparked the dispute isn’t clear.
