The second suspect in a robbery at the TD Bank in Killingworth last month has been captured. Federal prosecutors say 40-year-old Marcus Dwyer, formerly of New Haven, was apprehended today by the FBI in New London. He’s due in federal court in Bridgeport Thursday.
On August 6, two suspects armed with a gun entered the bank on Route 81 and ordered staff and customers to lie on the floor. They tied up one employee, took $43,573 and fled in a stolen vehicle which was found abandoned a short distance away.
Earlier this month authorities arrested 32-year-old Dario Pabey of Waterbury in the case. They had been looking for Dwyer since that time, until his capture today.
A third person also took part in the crime, but prosecutors have not said much about that person, other than what the indictment says, that he or she is “known to the Grand Jury.”
