NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) _ A Central Connecticut running back has
been arrested on a burglary charge and suspended from the team.

The New Britain Herald reports 20-year-old Jacob Lavender of Enfield is accused of entering a home in New Britain on May 11 and threatening a resident with a knife.

Charges were filed Sept. 13.

The sophomore, who has not played this season, told police he
did not have a weapon and went to the house searching for someone
who had punched him in the face.
