Milford Police Arrest Suspect In 2006 Murder

Milford Police say they’ve made an arrest in a six-year-old murder case in their town.

The body of 26-year-old Alexandra Ducsay was found in her Booth Bay Street home May 19, 2006.  She had been beaten to death.

Police say their investigation,  in collaboration with the Cold Case Unit of the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office and the Ansonia-Milford State’s Attorney’s Office led them to an inmate at Garner Correctional Instituution who was being held on charges of first degree assault in another case.

40-year-old Matthew Pugh, formerly of Hamden,  is charged with murder and burglary in connection with the crime.

He continues to be held at Garner,  and his bond was raised an additional $2 million.

Pugh was already in custody in connection with an armed robbery and assault case from New Haven.
