Meriden Man Struck And Killed

A 42-year-old Meriden resident was struck and killed by a vehicle around 8:22 p.m. Tuesday while crossing North Broad Street in the area of 1554 near the Berlin Trunpike.

The victim was hit in the right-hand lane and was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital around midnight.

The operator of the grey Volvo involved in the accident, Kwame Osei-Tutu, was transported to Saint Francis Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is continuing to be investigated.
