McMahon Spokesman Leaves Campaign
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ The spokesman for Republican Linda McMahon’s Connecticut Senate campaign has resigned after about a month on the job.
Corry Bliss, McMahon’s campaign manager, confirmed to The Associated Press that Tim Murtaugh was no longer with the campaign as of Tuesday.
The 44-year-old Murtaugh joined the former wrestling executive’s campaign last month. He previously worked for the Republican Governors’ Association, the Republican National Committee and on various campaigns in Virginia.
Murtaugh had replaced Erin Isaac, who left the campaign for family reasons.
Bliss would not discuss the circumstances of Murtaugh’s departure, only saying that “Tim is no longer with the campaign and we wish him nothing but the best.”
He said spokeswoman Kate Duffy will take over Murtaugh’s duties until a permanent replacement is announced.
