State police are investigating after an inmate died following an attack at the Osborne Prison in Somers.
State Police Lt. Paul Vance says police were called to the prison about 9:30 Thursday after receiving a report that another inmate had assaulted 50-year-old David Dube of Hartford in a hallway.
Dube, who was serving a sentence for larceny, regained consciousness briefly before being taken to Dempsey Hospital, then transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
