Firefighter’s Body Recovered After Boating Accident

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Authorities say they’ve recovered the body of a firefighter from New Rochelle, N.Y. following a boating accident in Stamford Harbor.

The Stamford Advocate (http://bit.ly/LKFytm ) says the body of Keith Morris was found on Monday afternoon near the accident site.

Connecticut authorities say the boat he was driving hit the harbor’s breakwall and flipped over late Sunday.

His brother and three other people were rescued. They declined medical treatment.

Marine police Sgt. Peter Wolff says none of the boat’s passengers were wearing life vests.

The boaters were headed home to New Rochelle after visiting a local restaurant.
