A man and woman are in custody in Maryland, in connection with the investigation of the deaths of a mother and son whose bodies were found in their home in Watertown earlier this month.
58-year-old Donna Bouffard and 25-year-old Michael Perkins had been dead up to five days before their bodies were found July 7. Their vehicle was missing, later recovered in Norwich.
Two people who had been staying in the home, 36-year-old Claude Turner and 26-year-old Elizabeth Swiderski, were missing. They have been taken into custody in Maryland on charges of larceny and using a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission. Swiderski also is charged with second-degree forgery.
Police say they received information in recent days that the two might be in the Baltimore area. They were taken into custody Thursday evening.
