Traffic on Interstate 84 was affected in both directions Thursday evening after a multi-vehicle accident between exits 43  and 44.  The Department of Transportation warned drivers to expect lane closures.   Witnesses said at least one vehicle was damaged so badly as to be unrecognizable.
