West Haven Police responded to an accident that occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Captain Thomas Boulevard and Dyke Street in West Haven.

According to Sgt. Dave Tammaro, a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Captain Thomas Boulevard when it struck a motor vehicle turning off Dyke Street. The operator of the motorcycle, Michael Finch, 21, of West Haven was fatally injured. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle also sustained injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
