Man Receives 5 Years For Dealing Pot In Danbury

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A 50-year-old Brookfield man has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for distributing marijuana around the Danbury area.

Federal authorities say Glenn Wagner helped to move large amounts of marijuana that were delivered from Florida from 2007 to 2011.

Wagner was sentenced Tuesday to 62 months in prison by a U.S. District judge in Hartford. He was also ordered to pay a $30,000 fine.

Agents found 40 pounds of marijuana and a loaded shotgun on Wagner’s property when he was arrested in February 2011.
He pleaded guilty in March to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 100 kilograms or more of marijuana.

Two of his co-defendants each have been sentenced to more than three years in prison.
