MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) _ A crash involving a state police cruiser closed two lanes of traffic on Interstate 91 North in Meriden.
State police say a trooper was guarding a construction site near exit 16 when his cruiser was struck by another vehicle just after 4:30 a.m.
The trooper was taken to a local hospital, where he was being treated for what police are non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car was not seriously injured.
There were traffic delays during the morning rush hour as police investigated the accident.
