Hartford Man Killed In Early-Morning Crash

State Police say a Hartford man was killed early Saturday when the car he was riding in slammed into a guardrail on Interstate 84 eastbound in East Hartford.

Eric Foster, 23, was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital, said police. He was the front seat passenger in the 2008 Hyundai that was entering the highway from Route 15 northbound around 1 a.m., said police.

The driver and another passenger were injured in the crash. The driver, Demetrich Finley, 38, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was taken to Hartford Hospital; the other passenger, Tyshown Phillips, 19, of Manchester, was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, said police.
