Jackson Dejesus has  died of  injuries suffered when he was  struck by a  hit and run driver Monday night in New Britain.

Police have now released a surveillance video from a building along North Street.

The video shows a light-colored sedan, possibly an older Nissan Alitma .

The car moves up the street, towards several people crossing.

The video ends just before the crash.

The 16 year old  Dejesus of New Britain was left lying in the roadway.

The teenager had been crossing the street with friends when he was struck.

Police say the car that hit him was moving fast.
