Reward Posted In Meriden Robbery-Homicide

Meriden police have announced a $5,000 reward in the robbery/homicide at the EZ Mart Citgo on East Main Street Wednesday.

Police say a local businessman who wishes to remain anonymous is offering the reqard for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

A witness told police the clerk on duty at the store had cooperated with the suspect in the 1:30 a.m. holdup, and had given him money before being shot.  Police released a security camera image of the suspect.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call Meriden Detective Benoit at (203) 630-6297.  Police say the reqard will be given to the individual who provides the most significant information about the suspect and his location.
