Emergency Call For Blood Donors

 
The American Red Cross says nationwide, blood supplies have reached emergency levels.  The Red Cross says June blood collections were 50,000 less than expected,  leaving the organization with half last year’s supply of the blood products on hand heading into the Fourth of July holiday.
The goal of the Red Cross’s Connecticut Region Blood Service is to collect 5,000 units in the next two weks’s goal over the next two weeks.To find a blood drive near you,  call 1-800-RED Cross (1-800-733-2767,  or visit their website.
