A Windsor woman who wandered away from her friends and got lost in Enders State Park in Granby spent almost eight hours alone in the woods before a state police bloodhound team was able to track her down.
Police say Granby Police and Fire conducted a ground search for 40-year-old Joy Dilibero, but asked for help from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection when they were unable to locate her.
After about another hour and a half, the State Police K-9 team was called, and they determined that a bloodhound team was required in the heavily-wooded area.
Trooper Joseph Morelli and his bloodhound “Thor” responded and were able to find her in about 40 minutes, shortly before 3 a.m. She had suffered minor cuts and scrapes, and was disoriented, but cleared by medical personnel.
