Decapitated Chickens Found In Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. (AP) _ Norwalk police are investigating why several decapitated chickens were dumped in a city resident’s backyard, but believe they may have been used for game fighting.
The headless chickens were found Friday night in the backyard of a home on Ely Avenue that abuts the Roodner Court housing complex. Police said someone apparently threw the dead chickens over a fence between the home and the housing complex.
Officers searched around the housing complex and found a decapitated rooster that had been shaved, indicating that it may have been used in fighting.
Two boys who live in the area also said they saw two dead birds in the woods next to the housing complex last week.
