Southington Crash Sends Three To Area Hospitals

Southington Police say three people were taken to area hospitals early Saturday after three vehicles were involved in a crash on Mulberry Street.

Police say a 2011 Honda Civic traveling westbound crossed into the oncoming lane and side-swiped a 2006 Ford Expedition and then slammed head-on into a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The crash occurred around 2 a.m. near Della Bitta Drive.

Police say Laura Slade and Sandra Beaudoin, both occupants of the Honda, were taken to Waterbury Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital respectively. The driver of the Mitsubishi, David Jenkins, was taken to Hartford  Hospital, said authorities. The driver of the Ford, Ryan Charamut, was not injured, said police.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call Southington Police at 860-621-0101.
