Drug Bust Nets 40 Pounds of Pot, $24K Cash

A cooperative marijuana investigation by Plainville, Southington, and Fairfield police has netted approximately 40 pounds of marijuana, more than $24,000 in cash, and three arrests, officials announced during a news conference Friday morning at Plainville Police Headquarters.

Officers raided a home at 462 East Street in Plainville Thursday after an investigation, spanning nearly a month, which began in Fairfield. Authorities say the investigation of Skyler A. Arnold, 27, of Fairfield– an alleged drug dealer– led them to the home, where they found the drugs and cash.

Arnold faces charges including possession of marijuana with intent to sell, illegal possession of marijuana, and possession of drug factory paraphernalia, said police. Also arrested on marijuana charges at the home were Stephen D. Karolczuk, 30, of Newtown and Jonathan Temporale, 29, of Plainville, said police.
