Two Vessels Overturn In Choppy Waters Of Sound; Three People Rescued

The Coast Guard says two boats,  one carrying a father and the other his son and his son’s friend, capsized in Long Island Sound Sunday afternoon when the rough weather moved through.

A Groton fire boat picked up the father;   the son and his friend drifted to near Fisher’s Island,  where they were picked up by a Good Samaritan.  Water temperature at the time was about 63 degrees.
