HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Hartford resident who missed a scheduled appointment with a state parole officer is now facing a string of new charges.
Police say a parole officer checking on 32-year-old Jacob Santana found him in possession of 1,349 bags of heroin.
The Hartford Courant reported Saturday that the discovery forced the parole officer to call police to Santana’s Hillside Avenue home. The suspect was arrested at the scene Friday afternoon.
Santana faces several drug charges. It was not immediately clear Saturday if he has legal representation.
