School Bus Monitor Charged With Assault, Unlawful Restraint Of Student
A school bus monitor is under arrest, charged with assault and unlawful restraint against a 14-year-old student. Vernon police say bus monitor Marcus Tappin was dealing with another student, when a 14-year-old student tapped him on the leg.
Police say he’s charged with going to that student’s seat, pushing her down, pinning her against the wall of the bus, then pulling her into another seat where he held her down. She suffered bruises .
33-year-old Tappin, a Windsor resident, was working for the East Hartford Board of Education on a bus taking Vernon students to and from school in East Hartford.
