Nanny Accused Of Stealing Items Valued At $30,000
GROVELAND, Mass. (AP) _ A nanny from New Hampshire has been accused of stealing nearly $30,000 worth of jewelry and other items from the family she worked for in Massachusetts.
Police say a Groveland couple hired 24-year-old Jessica Jean Senter of Plaistow, N.H., as a full-time nanny in March. She had worked for them part time since 2010.
The Eagle-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/K7jvQd) she was given a house key, a car and a cell phone. Her boyfriend, 25-year-old Jakub Councilman of Atkinson, N.H., was allowed to visit the home while Senter was caring for the couple’s child.
Police were able to track down some of the items at pawn shops. Senter and Councilman were arraigned on larceny charges Monday.
Senter has been investigated in similar situations. It wasn’t known if she and Councilman had lawyers.
