Second Passenger Arrested In Shooting Inside Waterbury Car

The second passenger in a car involved in a Waterbury shooting last month is held in lieu of three-quarters of a million dollars bail on  charges related to last month’s  fatal shooting in a moving car.

Police say 30-year-old Tomas Rivera was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Danny Gonzalez.  The other passenger, Luis Colon Ortega,  is charged with shooting Gonzalez in the head as he was driving.    Police say the car crashed and both Rivera and Ortega fled.  Ortega,  suspected of pulling the trigger,  is held as a fugitive from justice in Puerto Rico.  Rivera is charged with murder conspiracy for his role in the case.
