CONCORD, N.H. (AP) _ Police say alert employees at a New Hampshire fabrics store helped them arrest two women suspected of stealing items from the business and from other stores in New England.
Police say employees at Jo-Ann Fabrics & Craft in Concord saw the women leave the store with merchandise and get into a car with a Connecticut license plate Thursday afternoon. They called police, who stopped them and found a large amount of merchandise in the back seat and several black trash bags. They found more merchandise in the trunk. They later determined that the items were stolen.
They arrested 36-year-old Jennifer Collins and 35-year-old Rebecca Gargiulo, both of West Haven, Conn. The two were charged with organized retail crime enterprise and were being arraigned Friday.
